Animal Assisted Therapy

Healing happens in relationship — with people, and sometimes with animals. I offer three distinct animal assisted pathways, each shaped around your goals and comfort level.

Individual AAT with Cali

Therapy with Cali, the therapy dog

Cali is a trained therapy dog who joins individual sessions as a gentle, grounding presence. Her calm energy can ease anxiety, soften difficult conversations, and help you feel more at ease in the room. AAT with Cali is available as an add-on to individual therapy sessions.

Available for adults and teens. Sessions take place in the office alongside your regular individual therapy work.

Emotional Regulation Skills Program

6-Week Emotional Regulation Skills Program

This structured six-week program builds practical skills for recognizing, understanding, and managing emotions — with animals as co-facilitators throughout. Grounded in evidence-based approaches, the program offers a supportive framework for developing lasting emotional resilience.

Available in individual or group format for adults and teens. Sessions incorporate animal-assisted interactions to deepen engagement and reinforce skill-building.

Trauma Processing with the Herd

Trauma Processing with the Herd

Equine-assisted work offers something uniquely powerful for trauma healing. Working alongside horses and donkeys — who are acutely attuned to emotional states — can surface patterns, build trust, and support processing in ways that talk therapy alone sometimes cannot reach.

On-site sessions with a standard horse, miniature horse, and two mini donkeys. Available in individual or group format for adults and teens.

Meet the herd

The herd includes a standard horse, a miniature horse, and two mini donkeys. Each animal is carefully selected and cared for, and their welfare is always the first priority in every session.
